This is what I do when I’m bored and have a bunch of photos lying around. I’m no Dreamworks, but I can put some good photos together with cool music. This is an ode to the fighters Ranger Up has sponsored over the last 18 months, including Brian Stann, Jorge Rivera, Tim Kennedy, Tim Credeur, and Kris McCray.

GI Jobs is a good magazine with a good cause – help servicemen and women find employment after they leave the military. Well, what do troops love? MMA. So I was fortunate enough to pen a cover story on Ranger Up’s fighters for their magazine. Check it out here

No CommentsJust a place to hang my stuff

I’ve always thought websites dedicated to one person were vain and pretentious. But I also understood that the difference between best-selling authors and never-heard-of authors is self-marketing. So here’s a nugget for you budding writers out there-no one is going to get the public to read your stuff like you will. You have to put your writing somewhere that people can get to it long after it’s been published and the magazine it was in has become a cage liner for a dentist’s parrot. Also consider that some of the articles on this site took weeks, and sometimes months, to research, interview, and write, and you can see why I like to archive it all somewhere for…well, eternity. I didn’t create this site to glorify myself as the chief head supreme writer of all time (though I would not disavow the adulation), but instead to create a space to hang my stuff so someone else could use it as research or just a laugh. Enjoy.
