GI Jobs is a good magazine with a good cause – help servicemen and women find employment after they leave the military. Well, what do troops love? MMA. So I was fortunate enough to pen a cover story on Ranger Up’s fighters for their magazine.

Staff Sergeant Pat Miller isn’t a fan of change. He spent 7 years in the same Cavalry unit at Fort Hood, despite being deployed three times to Iraq. That’s Cal Ripken, Junior dedication (you see, Cal Ripken Junior was this baseball player…). Although there’s no psychologist on the RU staff (though we all have Jamaican doctoral degrees), we’re pretty sure Pat’s unwillingness to change can probably be traced back to his daddy issues. Meet Patrick here. -

If it takes a village to raise a fighter then former Army Sergeant Mark Flavin was raised by a pack of wolves. What does that mean? No idea, but it sounded cool. The newest member of Team Rhino gets beaten up regularly with other Team Rhino vets Brian Vanhoven and Kris McCray. -

Posted in: Team Rhino

America was born on the backs of immigrants, so Team Rhino is proud to welcome two new fighters who not only have impeccable service records, but who also came to America to find a better life and then joined the Army after 9-11 to give back to their adopted homeland. Which one scares the crap out me and which one beat up ten kids in a row to defend his cousin? Meet them and find out.

Meet Team Rhino’s newest member, Micah Goss. Besides an uncanny resemblance to Johnny Rotten, Micah’s other great attribute is that he knows God won’t show him how to slip a hook. Meet him here.
